Shabbirbhai Kassam, a well known volunteer of our community and seen at our various Kabrastan, is the head of Hujjat Burial committee of London. He has an interesting journey to share as an entrepreneur, a keen sportsman playing central role in the early days of sport development in our community in the UK and together with all other volunteers of Hujjat contributes at various levels to keep the community running optimally. Our volunteers are the central cog around which the whole of our Hujjat community of London revolve.

Shabbirbhai was born in Kampala in August 1957. He did his primary schooling in Kampala at Ithna-Asheri school in Kampala, followed by Secondary Schooling up to 2nd year at Agha Khan High School, Kololo. In 1972, he had to leave Kampala, when Idi Amin expelled Asians from Uganda. He arrived in the UK and continued his secondary education.  By instinct, he is an entrepreneur and runs successful businesses. He lives in London with his wife and is a grandfather to three children.
