The Shia Ithna’asheri Madressa stands to build an inclusive and peaceful learning environment, inspired by the Qur’an & Ahlul Bayt (A), enabling spiritual and moral growth
The Madressa was founded on 13 January 1985 and caters for the religious education of our children. Classes are held at Northwood School on Sundays between 10:00am to 1:30pm.
There are 4 main areas which are covered across the Madressa curriculum:
- Belief & Actions
- Morals and Ethics
- Islamic History
- Qur’an – Appreciation and Understanding of the Holy Qur’an & Recitation
We also cater for students with learning difficulties and children with disabilities and special needs. These activities fall under the Learning Support and Special Needs departments.
The Madressa, as of January 2018, utilises the WF MCE Tarbiyah curriculum (https://madrasahonline.org/) which provides a Qur’an centric approach to each and every lesson.
Our vision aims to inspire life-long learning to foster the love for Allah (swt) and His creations enabling us to live His Message at each and every moment
If you want to help us achieve our vision and can invest just an hour a week of your time with us, you too can make a big difference to the spiritual nurturing of our next generation. Please contact us via email or visit our website (www.madressa.net/volunteer) for further information.
