Anverbhai Dhanji was born in September 1942 in NAMTUMBO, a small town on Songea District in Tanzania. He did his primary schooling in Tunduru and secondary schooling in Lindi and Dar es Salaam. To many in Hujjat community, he is a well known elder of the community who served Hujjat Jamaat as a committee member under Alhaj Mustafa Jaffer and under Alhaj Kamrudin Khaki for two terms. During his time in the Executive committee, the main buildings needed urgent attention and under his supervision the building was refurbished and reconstructed all the pavements. His family and friends purchased 2200 sq meters of carpets and with the help of Marhum Amir Asaria levelled up the floor and carpeted the entire building.
Now a days, he is seen on Thursdays at Carpenders Kabrastan where he and the team he leads organizes weekly Kabrastan programme every Thursday for Islae Sawab of Marhumins who are buried there and elsewhere….
