Al Haadi Youth invites you to an Evening of Grief & Sorrow with Sheikh Hamam Nassereddine - an evening of remembrance, reflection and mourning as we prepare our hearts for the events of Karbala.
Every year we gather to commemorate Ashura. This year, on the eve of Ashura, before we hear of the martyrdom of the Banu Hashim, we invite you to pause with us in reflection and remembrance.
Join us for excerpts from Ziyarat al-Nahiya and the Maqtal, recounting the final moments leading to their sacrifice, allowing our hearts to prepare before we relive the events of the Day of Ashura.
📅 Thursday 25th June 2026
🕘 After the Main Programme
👥 Open to Ladies & Gents
🔗 Register: Hujj.at/AHY
After several requests, our Youth Azadari event is now OPEN TO ALL.
We're also excited to announce our discussion speaker: Sister Raihana Mawjee.
Have you ever wondered about the significance behind Azadari? Why do we mourn? Where do our traditions come from? And how can we ensure our remembrance reflects the message of Imam Hussain (a.s.)?
Join us for an evening of Qur'an, poetry, marthiya, discussion, matam, saff matam and ziyarat as we explore the meaning, purpose and etiquette of Azadari together.
Whether you've grown up attending majalis or are simply looking to deepen your understanding, this is a space to reflect, ask questions, hear different perspectives, and strengthen our connection to the legacy of Karbala in a respectful and welcoming environment.
May every tear, every lesson, and every act of remembrance bring us closer to the Ahlulbayt (a.s.).

Not everyone has been blessed with the opportunity to travel this year - but distance need not mean disconnection.
Join AHY and Sheikh Ayub Rashid as he reminds us the bond we seek is not confined to a place; it can be nurtured from wherever we stand and as he gives us the tools on how to connect from wherever we are!
