DESCRIPTION:Dear Members\, \nSalaamun Alaykum\, \nWe pray you and your family are in the best of health and Imaan. \nPursuant to clause 8.1 of The KSIMC of London’s constitution\, the Executive Committee (EC) hereby gives notice today\, Friday 8th May 2026\, for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held on Sunday 31st May 2026 at 10:30\, at Husaini Islamic Centre\, Wood Lane\, Stanmore\, Middlesex HA7 4LQ\, to discuss the following items: \n1. Recitation of the Holy Quran and translation thereof\n2. Election of the Electoral Commission \nThese matters need to be discussed in advance of the next AGM for the following reason(s): \nThe community was unable to elect a new Electoral Commission at the last AGM as it was required to do by Rule 7.9 of the Constitution. As such\, with an election occurring 2 weeks before the next AGM\, a new set of Electoral Commissioners need to be elected. Members are reminded that interested candidates will be able to stand on the day. Members are also advised to take note of Rule 7.6: \nRule 7.6: “The Electoral Commission shall consist of five electoral commissioners\, at least one of whom must be a woman and at least one of whom must be a man.” \nPlease ensure your 2026 subscriptions are paid up should you wish to participate and vote at this EGM. Recitation of the Holy Quran and translation thereof\n2. Presentation of Accounts and Treasurers’ Report followed by adoption of the audited account of the Jamaat for the previous financial year as per clause 6.9.3. click Hujj.at/accounts2023 to download the audited accounts. \nThese matters need to be discussed in advance of the next AGM for the following reasons:\nThe EC has received the final signed audited accounts and per constitutional guidelines\, is calling an SGM to be able to have these adopted and filed by the 30 November 2024. \nPlease ensure your 2024 membership has not lapsed should you wish to participate and vote at this SGM. Approval of development proposals at Widewater Place\, Harefield and funding thereof. \nThese matters need to be discussed in advance of the next AGM for the following reasons:\n1. Deadline for submission of accounts for filing is 31st October 2023. The EC has received the final signed audited accounts today and an SGM rather than an EGM is appropriate and is therefore being called.\n2. There is an urgent decision to be made with regards to development at the Widewater Place site which the EC would like to share with members. Due to the time sensitive nature of these proposals\, an SGM rather than an EGM is being called.
